The Big Freedom Sale of Flipkart has been announced. The online retailer went further and revealed that its next major sale, in anticipation of 72nd Independence Day in India, will take place between 10 and 12 August 2018. While the offers are not yet known, Flipkart has announced that it has the blockbuster deals, offers of price crashes, rush hour deals, The Freedom Hour and hourly deals during the 72-hour sales period. Amazon India is also selling the freedom that begins a day earlier, on August 9th. The sale, however, runs until 12 August.
As part of Flipkart’s The Big Freedom Sale, users can pay up to 10 percent in cash with Citibank credit cards, but the upper limit is not yet known. Flipkart has announced that blockbuster deals and price crash offers will be held every eight hours during the sales period. Apart from that, a ‘rush hour’ with ‘revolutionary deals’ will be held between 12.00 and 02.00 hours on 10 August, i.e. at the beginning of the sale of Flipkart.
Other than that, deals will be held every hour during the entire 72-hour period, similar to the Lightning deals previously held during the sale of Amazon India. Finally, a ‘Freedom Countdown’ is held on all three days of Flipkart sales, between 19.17 and 20.18 hours, with a 31-minute drop in prices for products in different categories.
From what has been unveiled so far about Flipkart sales, there will be deals on smartphones from brands such as Xiaomi, Samsung, Apple and more. Up to 80 percent discount is also expected on selected laptops, audio equipment and cameras from manufacturers such as Apple, Dell, Google and more.
In order to stay prepared for Flipkart sales, the e-commerce site recommends measures such as adding your favorite products to the wish list, saving credit/debit card details in your account and updating your delivery address in advance.
Amazon.in last week hosted her ‘Amazon Freedom Sale’ from 9-12 August. The sale has a preview of deals on smartphones such as OnePlus 6, Realme 1, Moto G6 and others. There is 10% cashback for purchases with credit cards and debit cards from SBI.
