Get Ready, All Companies will Make Data and Calling Expensive from Next Month

by on

India currently has the cheapest data compared to other countries. After the arrival of Reliance Jio, the data rate fell sharply and now the data has become much cheaper. But after the arrival of Reliance Jio in the industry, only data and calling became cheap, this is not the case, but other telecom companies also started a bad tour.

Companies like Aircel, Telenor, R-Com ended, while Idea and Vodafone merged. Now it is also news that Vodafone can consolidate its business from India. Customers of Airtel have also fallen. But now cheap data is going to be expensive.

Airtel, Vodafone and Reliance Jio – these three big telecom companies have announced to increase all their tariffs from December. There will be both prepaid and postpaid users. However, till now these companies have not released new plans.

The special thing is that now along with calling, data will also be expensive. Vodafone Idea has suffered the biggest loss so far in the second quarter. Not only this, 25.7 lakh customers of the company have come down in September. Experts believe that companies will increase their tariff prices rapidly due to continuous losses. However, the reason behind the increase in tariff rates by these three companies is AGR. An amount of 94 thousand crore rupees is to be paid by all telecom service providers to the government as AGR. More than half of this amount comes in the share of Vodafone Idea.

Recently, Reliance Jio has announced to take money on non-Jio calling, citing IUC. For this, the company has launched new packs. Behind this, Reliance Jio argued that TRAI had said that the IUC charge will be abolished, but this has not been done.

What do telecom companies have to say?

Airtel and Vodafone Idea’s opinion about IUC is completely different from Reliance Jio. Both these companies have said that the IUC that TRAI charges are still less than the industry standard. These companies say that due to this also the condition of the telecom industry is getting crispy at this time. Overall, these companies say that the IUC charge should be increased so that the industry can be revived.

Talking about BSNL, the condition of this government telecom company is getting worse and worse. According to media reports, preparations are on to sell BSNL. The retrenchment of employees has already started. If the government does not pay the expenditure of 20 thousand crore rupees, then maybe 1 lakh employees of BSNL can hang the sword of unemployment. According to a report, the entire system is being affected due to the pending payment.

Tariff rates will be revised from December 1

From December 1, tariff rates of all telecom companies in India will be revised. There will be expensive from calling to data. Although at one time the companies will not give too much burden to the customers, the kind of crisis going on in the telecom sector, it seems that in the coming times, companies can increase the tariff rate again.

To put it in simple words, now companies are sitting expecting from the government for revival. The negotiations that were going on between the telecom companies and the government regarding AGR. However, taking a decision in the interest of the government, the Supreme Court has ordered companies to repay AGR which is more than 1 lakh crore rupees.
