Tata Motors’ premium hatchback Altroz is eagerly awaited. According to media reports, the company will unveil Altroz in December. The company was earlier scheduled to launch it in August. Tata Altroz was introduced at the Geneva Motor Show held earlier this year. Since then this car has been waiting. Prior to the launch, the company has also released an official teaser of this new car. At Auto Expo 2018, Tata also introduced the concept model of Altroz.
The engine
The new Altroz can get 2 petrol and a diesel engine option. According to the source, the company can offer a 1.2-liter petrol engine with Tiago but its power may be slightly more than Tiago. Apart from this, it is also expected to get 1.2-liter turbo-petrol engine and 1.5-liter diesel engine, these are the same engines, which gives power to the company’s Nexon. But they will be tuned separately when used in Altroz.
Weight may be reduced
According to the source, the weight of the new Altroz can also be reduced by about 10-15 kg compared to the existing Tiago. Due to its low weight, its performance and power output will differ. The expected price of the car can start from Rs. 5.50 lakhs.
They will compete with
The new Altroz will be the company’s first premium hatchback car and will compete directly with the Maruti Baleno and Toyota Glanza. It is believed that the new Altroz will be launched in a few months. But there is no information currently about which month and date it will come.
