Flipkart aims at 30% stake in online mobile phone sales in festival season

The company had said in April that its target is to achieve a 40 percent market share by 2020. Rajgopal said, “During the festive sale, many handsets will be offered on our platform, they will have phone calls at all cost. We expect a strong growth in the range of Rs 10,000-15,000 and Rs 4,000-7,000.” He said that according to the report of the phone industry, 39 percent of mobile phones in the country are sold through online platforms.

The official said that the share of online phone sales in the country is about 39%, which is the highest level so far. It is the highest among any other country in the world. For example, the share of online phone sales in China is about 29 percent. He said that our mobile phone segment is growing rapidly. The company has introduced EMI (monthly installment) facility for debit cardholders.
